Non-Profit, 21-50 employees, Accounting industryCEO, Business Learning Institute
Private, 21-50 employees, Accounting industryThe Business Learning Institute grew out of a concept that centered on the increasing needs for CPAs to acquire new competencies to help them deal with a rapidly changing environment. These competencies were outlined in the CPA Vision Project and included: Leadership & Communication, Strategic & Critical Thinking, Focus on the Customer, Client & Market, Being Technologically Adept, and Lifelong Learning and Continuing Education. These competencies form the framework for an increasing need for companies to increase their “intellectual property” as a source of competitive advantage. This competitive advantage comes primarily from a planned strategy to increase the competencies of their talent pools. The Business Learning Institute intends to deliver a unique value proposition to this market by focusing on developing the future leaders and “change agents” that will be in charge of constant business innovation to respond to the needs of the rapidly changing marketplace. BLI will provide curriculum, content, and community with an emphasis on competency development in the areas of strategy, leadership, change management, and innovation. In addition, because this field is still emerging and changing, BLI intends to create a community of learners who will provide resources and content to the community so as to increase the speed and absorption rate of knowledge.
