Salem Honey

Vice President
Design My Idea
United States

Bio

Hi,

My name is Salem Honey and I have varied interest in numerous business fields. I enjoy complex problems, projects, circumstances and designing solutions (radical or incremental) to effect those solutions. I am the the former Vice President of Design My Idea, a full service non-promotional invention design firm. Currently I work as a property manager for a number of investment properties (year long leases as well as a multiple-leaser vacation rental property) and also will be continuing with a residential property development (once we have taken the project to the steps of construction) under consideration as the market swings.

I have been involved with building and managing small businesses for over three years with great success. Starting with an educational emphasis on Business management and psychology, I was initially a personal assistant to the President of a large loan company. Not only managing supplier and customer contacts, I was given responsibilities to design marketing strategies, create sales mediums and research product placement.

Moving up in the world, I successfully built a division within a residential painting company to become the Manager of the Year, holding the record for the largest branch in Utah for 2006. Following a promotion to District Manager, I successfully trained branch managers in sales, marketing, employee management and production. My division focused on quality and ultimate customer satisfaction eventually becoming one of the most efficient teams in the country with sales ranked nationally in the top twenty teams.

With Design My Idea, I increased the marketing lead generation by over 20% and garnered numerous complementary services to further raise value for our customers with working with Design My Idea.

A. Interestingly enough, though a massive technology / software firm, Microsoft has always been "slow" to innovate. Instead they seem to watch, wait, then destroy the competition with a better product....

A. Moreso the pricing will deter me for anything frivolous. Non-frivolous: much needed beach time in Hawaii, trade shows, clients, manufacturers etc. meetings. Frivolous: anything else.
