COMPANY SPONSORED REAL LIFE TRAINING FOR HIGH SCHOOLERS

As a computer training center owner, I receive many calls from companies I train asking if I can refer a person to fill an open position. Having spoken with many hiring managers, they are finding it increasingly difficult to find qualified people. My idea is to create company sponsored training programs. Companies will sponsor and provide an immediate need for building or solving business application needs. A certain number of high school students will be chosen to work on building a solution for the company who sponsors this specific program. The students will be taken through the entire process which will include problem solving, project management, team work building and learning the technical skills to develop a solution that will solve the business need. The developed solution can then be used by the company sponsor.
