Absolutely. One word: overstimulation. Friendfeed is too much for some people, and Twitter is a neat little app with definite staying power. Digg and Reddit are news-based feeds, but CNN.com and other news outlets are still around and kicking. It'll be interesting to see the resulting balance between the two, but there will certainly not be a blowout of one by the other.

twitter - not sure, as it has service problems. but twitter like service of course will survive as it is different from friendfeed.

Yes, both can survive, but I think twitter will be more lively, and with added features, more viable and important to media spread.
