Catch-22: Password Reset requires Old Password

I've lost my password.

In order to find my password, I access the lost password link on the login page. 

The only way into the site is via a link emailed to my email address. The login link brings you to FC, and the landing page tells you to reset password after you press the button 'submit'. 

 The next landing page holds no password reset instructions- so i proceed to "My Settings".

 In order to reset password on that page, you must submit the old password (which I don't have right now). 

In order to find my lost password, I access the lost password link on the login page.

Cheers to whoever can find a way out of this little infinity loop.

{i've also submitted a request for help a week ago. And that took me about 15 minutes to find. With no response, I tried to post a request earlier today, but I haven't found it online anywhere. Well, I thought I was posting to this group. But I've been unsuccessful 2 times. Hopefully this makes it into webspace. I also visited the FAQ post on finding a lost password- which took me to a dead link. }
